Group of Shared Virtual Reality
The human centered computing brings novel experience in the visualization and a communication by the virtual and augmented reality technologies which means the third revolution in the human-machine interaction. A new industrial standard could boost-up the integration of these technologies which is developed by our group in the world's largest IT consortium. Our group very own innovation called ApertusVR could be an official implementation of the OpenXR standard, therefore ApertusVR could be integrated into existing industrial systems.
OpenXR - Industrial Virtual Reality Standard
The aim of our Shared Virtual Reality Group within the OpenXR workgroup is to create the world’s first virtual reality industrial standard which could solve the industrial integration problems of the virtual reality technologies. Further aim is that the development of the Group called ApertusVR will be an official implementation of the OpenXR standard, therefore ApertusVR could be integrated into existing industrial systems.
ApertusVR – Industrial Virtual Reality Software Library
The Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute for Computer Science and Control Shared Virtual Reality Group has been created a new technology called ApertusVR which enables the rapid integration of virtual and augmented reality technologies into existing industrial software systems. The market fragmentation of the virtual and augmented reality technologies lead to the unsustainability of the software development processes. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute for Computer Science and Control Shared Virtual Reality Group works on solving such kind of problems with the world’s leading IT companies like Google, Intel, Samsung and Microsoft in the OpenXR workgroup. ApertusVR could solve the above mentioned problems as an official implementation of the Khronos Group’s OpenXR industrial standard.The ApertusVR programmer’s library is utilized all over the world from many companies e.g. Shanghai Pearl Studio Film and Television Technology Co., Ltd, IoP Ventures LLC, RoboDK Software S.L, Zeto Inc., SomaView GmbH. Furthermore research and education organizations work with it like Profactor GmbH, University of Texas at Austin, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chuo University. The library is also used by several international research and development projects e.g. Hunorob, Visionair, NeuroCogSpace, VLFT. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences Institute for Computer Science and Control Shared Virtual Reality Group provides free and industrial support to the usage of the ApertusVR technology.
Virtual Learning Factory Toolkit (VLFT)
Higher education has to keep pace with the global market needs for the necessary ICT(Information and Communications Technology) skills and the overall understanding of the complexity of industries in the 21st century. Global market companies have to effectively deal with the constant evolution of products, processes and production systems (and all in parallel) that can be more easily monitored, developed and up-graded using digital applications based on the concept of digital twin and taking advantage of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) simulations.
Artificial Intelligence Based Medical Expert System
The aim of the present study is to develop and evaluate a computer-based methods for automated and improved detection and classification of different colorectal lesions, especially polyps. For this purpose first, pit pattern and vascularization features of up to 1000 polyps with a size of 10 mm or smaller will be detected and stored in our web based picture database made by a zoom BLI colonoscopy. These polyps are going to be imaged and subsequently removed for histological analysis. The polyp images are analyzed by a newly developed deep learning computer algorithm. The results of the deep learning automatic classification (sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value, positive predictive value and accuracy) are compared to those of human observers, who were blinded to the histological gold standard. Additionally the examination results will be available in a virtual reality application built with ApertusVR programmers library, that enables the medical personnel to consult independent of geographical locations.
