International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO): an international, scientific organisation covering the complete range of measurement, it has 41 country members from all over the world, additionally, it has many personal members, 32 leaders in person and over 50 participated online on the actual meeting, representing more than 40 countries.
There can hardly be a higher recognition of the hard work put into a Horizon Europe proposal than the 15/15 score on the anxiously awaited evaluation result letter. This is exactly the score we got for the one we submitted for the "Enhanced citizen preparedness in the event of a disaster or crisis-related emergency (HORIZON-CL3-2022-DRS-01-01)” call last November.
On Wednesday, 12 July 2023, a Chinese delegation of investors and government officials visited the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems (ARNL) and the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB).
Co-organised by the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB) and the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) – both coordinated by SZTAKI – and Neumann Nonprofit Ltd., the international AI & AUT EXPO was held between 14-15 February 2023 at the Hungarian Railway Museum in Budapest.
On 29 November 2022, a high-level delegation from the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) of Vietnam visited SZTAKI. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, President of the aforementioned University.
The research and development (R&D) projects, developments and results of SZTAKI were presented to the delegation by the Institute's researchers. The American guests were mainly interested in aeronautical and automation solutions, therefore the programme was set accordingly.
In the frame of the 4th ZalaZONE Innovation Day that was held on 30 September 2022 (4ZZID), ARNL researchers and developers held several live vehicle demonstrations for interested visitors and for the representatives of the Ministry of Technology and Industry (TIM) at the ZalaZONE automotive test track.
Dr. Myung-Joon KIM, President of the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of South Korea, and his three high-ranking colleagues within ETRI visited Hungary on a scientific and research networking tour. The program of the tour was organised by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation.
The joint exhibition of the Fraunhofer Society and SZTAKI was opened at the Stuttgart Science Festival, with speeches by András Izsák, Consul General of Stuttgart, Thomas Bauernhansl, Director of Fraunhofer IPA, and László Monostori, Director of SZTAKI. The opening ceremony was also attended by Engelbert Westkämper, former Director of Fraunhofer IPA.
A delegation from the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT arrived at the Institute on December 3, 2021, to attend presentations on the operations and objectives of SZTAKI and the programs and developments of the national laboratories led by SZTAKI.
Megalakult a Mesterséges Intelligencia Koalíció (MI Koalíció) Balatonfüreden. Palkovics László innovációs és technológiai miniszter hangsúlyozta, a koalíció magalapításában ölt testet Magyarország válasza a mesterséges intelligencia generálta kihívásokra, platformot teremtve az ezen területen dolgozó szervezetek együttműködéséhez. Monostori László akadémikus, intézetünk igazgatója az MTA SZTAKI és az IPAR 4.0 Nemzeti Platform Szövetség nevében is aláírta az egyezményt.
Dr. László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology, announced the foundation of 16 National Laboratories at a press conference at the University of Pécs, Hungary. The National Laboratories are formed as consortia of research centers, universities and industry. Two of the National Laboratories, the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory and the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems, are led by the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), Hungary.
Thomas Schmidt, Saxon Minister for Regional Development, and his delegation visited SZTAKI on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. The guests were welcomed by the leaders of the institute: director László Monostori, and scientific director József Bokor.
