Intézetünkben az alap- és alkalmazott kutatás magas szintű művelése mellett nagy hagyománya van a kiterjedt publikációs tevékenységnek, oktatásnak és módszertanfejlesztésnek is; kollégáink nemcsak egyetemeken tanítanak és benne vannak a SZTAKI tématerületein legjelentősebb nemzetközi folyóiratok szerkesztőbiztosságaiban, de rendszeresen írnak, szerkesztenek szakkönyveket is.
