József Bokor, László Keviczky and Ákos Zarándy were honoured with the Rudolf Kálmán Prize

József Bokor, scientific director of SZTAKI, László Keviczky, former director of SZTAKI and chairman of the scientific council, and Ákos Zarándy, head of the Laboratory of Computer Optical Sensing and Processing and researcher at the National Laboratory of Autonomous Systems received the prestigious award.

The awards were presented by László Monostori, Director of SZTAKI, at the Institute's meeting on 16 June 2022. The Kálmán Rudolf Prize is awarded for "outstanding scientific achievements" as the most significant professional recognition of SZTAKI.

The prize is named after Rudolf Kálmán, an electrical engineer and inventor who died in 2016. He fled to the United States as a child with his family in 1943 to escape World War II and settled there. Kálmán graduated from MIT in 1954 and received his PhD from Columbia University in 1957.
