Interacting with a Robot Employing an EEG Device

The goal of this project is to create an interactive art installation, in which the visitor can interact with a robot, ideally achieving the situation where the robot reacts to the different visitors (and their various moods) differently (in motion and sound), thus effectively recognizing and establishing emotional contact establishing with them. The visitor wears an EEG device, whose signals – beside of processing them in themselves – are compared to an ever-growing database, and we control the robot based on the results of these two kinds of evaluation. The group's duty is to integrate the whole system and to develop the necessary software components (robot control, navigation system, EEG processing).
