Project full title: A Consortium for studying, evaluating, and supporting the introduction of Open Source software and Open Data Standards in the Public Administration

The Consortium consists of research places, universities and public administrations from Ireland, Denmark, Italy and Hungary and industrial partners from Belgium and Germany. The goal is the introduction, analyses, and support of the use of Open Data Standards (ODS) and Open Source (OS) software for personal productivity and document management in European Public Administrations (PA). The first results prove the application of the cheap and still effective OS and ODS tools.

OpenOffice and Linux were taken into account as examples.

In Hungary the City council of Törökbálint is the test bed public administration.
