Comparative analysis of the alternatives of the Metro 4 lines, second section
Department in charge
As part of the environmental impact assessment, the aim of the comparative study being conducted is to evaluate and compare, based on various measurement, testing, and modeling results and information:
- the comparative analysis and evaluation of the construction variants of the metro line of the 4th metro line, and
- the comparison and evaluation of the expected future transport and environmental conditions with an operational metro versus without the metro, using a decision-support methodology based on unified criteria and presented in a coherent structure. This is to provide relevant information for decision-makers regarding the selection of the variant to be implemented.
Accordingly, based on the professional materials, we will establish and solve two multi-criteria group decision-making tasks:
- comparing the metro construction variants, and
- comparing the expected conditions in 2018 with an operational metro and without the metro.
Evaluations based on social and environmental aspects are of fundamental importance during the procedure; therefore, they are built on data obtained from specific investigations in the environmental impact assessment. We will create digital map-based layers in a GIS (Geographic Information System) with spatial (map) information related to the different variants and evaluation criteria, through which various sectoral information can be thematically presented within a unified system. These will be attached in printed form as an appendix to the study.
The construction and solution of the decision models will be prepared using the WINGDSS methodology and software developed by the MTA SZTAKI Laboratory of Operations Research and Decision Systems.
