HUN-REN SZTAKI Researchers Visit Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

József Váncza, Head of the Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence, together with two senior researchers from the laboratory, Balázs Csanád Csáji and András Kovács, participated in a three-day visit to the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) between 8 and 10 October 2025. The visit took place within the framework of the joint artificial intelligence research collaboration between HUN-REN and NTU.

At the venue, the HUN-REN SZTAKI researchers were hosted by NTU Professor Paulo Bartolo, Dr. Cian Vyas, and Dr. Wei Long Ng. During the three-day visit, the researchers explored potential applications of their artificial intelligence research in 3D printing, with a particular focus on bioprinting. The HUN-REN SZTAKI researchers also gave two seminar talks: “A Sampling-and-Discarding Approach to Stochastic Model Predictive Control” (B. Cs. Csáji) and „A Generic Solver for Process Planning and Sequencing in Industrial Robotics” (A. Kovács).
