A Hungarian-French scientific project starts in February

„Integration of velocity and suspension control to enhance automated driving comfort in road vehicles”
The project is in contracting phase now. It will be led by Péter Gáspár (MTA SZTAKI) and Olivier Sename (Université Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble).
In the frame of this project, the relation between road excitation frequency and passenger comfort will be studied. Based on this empirical relation, a comfort-oriented velocity profile will be designed for an automated vehicle. A cloud database will be used for storing the trajectory and velocity profile data. The semi-active suspension system of the vehicle will be tuned according to theactual position of the vehicle along the route.
