Serious games in virtual environment

The eLearning Department supports the development, management and presentation of multiplatform (mobile and Web) games as its most recent service. We have implemented a game engine for virtual 360º panorama environments. By using the service, we have created a multilingual (Bulgarian, English and Hungarian) serious educational game “The Thracians” in cooperation with the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IMI BAS) which is focused on life, beliefs and traditions of the ancient tribe.

The game development tool supporting new methods of interactive learning and the game is presented in two short videos at the opening conference of the H2020 project REACH (RE-designing Access to Cultural Heritage) on 10-11 May 2018. The aim of the poster and video session is to disseminate innovative Cultural Heritage projects and strengthen collaboration between projects. The international conference will take place in Budapest with more than 150 participants, hosted at the Hungarian National Museum under the coordination of Eötvös Loránd University .
