In consideration of the crisis in Ukraine, SZTAKI – on the burden of its external income – is ready to employ members from its partner institutions in Ukraine, and under given circumstances to help them in accommodation.

The 2nd Budapest Grand Prix of the REFORMula Challenge Innovation Competition II, organized with the professional support of the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory coordinated by SZTAKI, in which teams of high school and university students competed their skills.

The purpose of the visit in March was to learn about the activities of the Institute, with a particular focus on the national laboratories coordinated by the SZTAKI.

With the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) as a professional Sponsor, the 2nd Reformula Innovation Challenge for Students – organized by the Mission for Engineers Foundation – will take place on 5th of March, 2022 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

A four-page portrait-article was published in the June 2021 issue of the Forbes Hungary magazine about Bálint Vanek, the Deputy Head of the Systems and Control Lab of SZTAKI.

A one-day exhibition on Artificial Intelligence and Technology was organized for 28 Jan, 2022 by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) and the Digital Success Programme. The event was hosted by ZalaZone Automotive Test Track near Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. The exhibition was opened by a presentation by László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology.

On October 8, 2021, SZTAKI held a workshop entitled "Beauty of Stochastics" on the occasion of the 75th birthday of László Gerencsér, research advisor of the Systems and Control Theory Research Laboratory.

The lecture titled "The first year of the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory " was held in the main hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on the occasion of the Hungarian Science Day.

A delegation from the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT arrived at the Institute on December 3, 2021, to attend presentations on the operations and objectives of SZTAKI and the programs and developments of the national laboratories led by SZTAKI.
